چکیده

Background/Aim. The histological phenomenon of tumor budding is being recognized as an important determinant disease progression and poor prognosis in various types carcinoma. We aimed to evaluate the clinicopathological significance adenocarcinoma lung. Methods. study included 114 patients operatively treated for lung a one-year period. Microscopic analysis routine slides was performed establish presence density buds. These results were compared relation gender, age, size, nodal status, pathological stage. Results. budding-positive group 34 (53.1%) men 27 (54%) women. There 30 (46.9%) 23 (46%) women budding-negative group. No statistical significant difference age found between males (64.3 ? 6.59 years) females (63.1 6.53 group, nor (males 63.3 6.02 years; 63.2 6.72 years). Statistically result size with (p < 0.05). stage N1 III pointed Conclusion. With confirmed higher stage, this study, still relatively new diagnostics domain pathology. However, it increasingly receives attention adverse prognostic factor. may help incorporate into existing staging systems addition other factors known be predictors worse outcome.

Visceral pleural invasion predict a poor survival among lung adenocarcinoma patients with tumor size ≤ 3cm

INTRODUCTION The impact of visceral pleural invasion (VPI) on survival remains controversial for patients with early stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This study investigated the survival status of VPI among patients with lymph node-negative lung invasive adenocarcinoma smaller than 3cm. METHODS We retrospectively reviewed 2537 consecutive patients with pathologic stage I lung invasiv...

Evaluation of PRR11 gene expression changes and its relationship with tumor size in patients with gastric adenocarcinoma

Introduction: Gastric cancer is one of the most common gastrointestinal tract neoplasms. Because of its invasion, and nonspecific symptoms and signs, the disease is often diagnosed at an advanced stage with short survival. PRR11 participates in the initiation and progression of lung cancer and breast cancer by regulating important genes involved in cell cycles and tumorigenesis. In this researc...

Spontaneous expectoration of tumor tissue in a patient with adenocarcinoma of the lung.

Expectoration of tumor tissue is a rare presentation in patients with cancer. Thirty cases of various types of tumor, including primary or metastatic lung cancer, have been reported. Endobronchial metastases from various organs are most common, although 9 primary lung cancer cases have been described, including 4 squamous cell carcinomas, 2 bronchogenic carcinoids, one small cell lung carcinoma...
